Saddle Back Master Classes

Last week I had the privilege of being one of the teachers at Saddleback Master Classes. It was an inspiring night of clinics with amazing musicians...followed by an unforgettable jam session!

I got to teach on song writing and shared, among other things, some of my favourite tricks for bridge writing.

Does your worship team want to learn how to write songs? We offer hand-on song writing seminars where we teach you all you need to know to write your fist (or 100th) song. Contact us at booking@sarahkelly.com

Worship

There is nothing that moves my soul more than worshiping God.  Jesus
Christ makes sense to me, plain and simple.  When I embraced the
knowledge that Jesus did die for me, in my place, i became a
worshiper....and i only pray that my flavor of worship is the kind he
likes the best...IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH (john)

Worship is just a vehicle for our faith....the power is not in the
songs, but within the faith that we release into the center of the "why
God?" moments in life.  All else is just karaoke worship.  This is how
even though I lead worship everyday of my life, it never gets old.
There is always a new situation to "believe" through.

So next time you are entering a worship service...try taking all
the circumstances in your life into that church with you...instead of
leaving them at the door, where you pick up your "church gloss" mask.
Try to worship in the middle of the divorce, the miscarriage, the porn
addiction, the CIRCUMSTANCE.  Then just like Paul and Silas, worshiping
from their prison cell in acts 16:25...not only your chains will fall
off...but those around you as well...

the faith of a mustard seed can move a mountain...so work it!

If you haven't already seen it, please take a look at this service from Cincinnati Vineyard where I had the privilege of leading worship together with my good friend Charlie Hines.

Live Every Love Song

hey there!

i am so excited to share this blog with you guys. a while back the WCRF which is for cancer research approached me about writing a song for their upcoming campaign. i was honored and happy to be considered for the project. after weeks of trying to put some verses together... the words just weren't coming to mind. i had my best friend listen to the chorus my husband and i had come up with to see what she thought. her mom battled colon cancer and she became a helpful tool in making this song come together from the perspective of someone who had weathered the storm. we finished the song that same night and the next two days we were able to record it to get approval from the WCRF people. justin, my bass player, produced "live every love song" in his parent's casita... these are pics of us during the recording process.

yes, gizmo had to be there too!!
x3
my drummer, adam culvey,...he's not really sleeping, but texting on his phone... he hee!
x4
kevin haaland laid down some ridiculously sick chords... it was awesome to sit and watch him. he was a "one take" wonder.
x5
we're trying to make gizzie look at the camera, but he's preoccupied??
x6
in the midst of trying to make a deadline with this song, i had already lead 4 worship services and had a big concert that same night sponsored by the FISH 95.9 . as i'm making out my set list, i seriously forgot the names to my songs... so joy googled my name with music on her phone to help me out.
x7

x8
all the recording was done in a closet... i have no idea how they all fit in there.
x9
adam added some tambourine parts.
x10
justin did an amazing job! here he is with his future drummer boy. we had such a great time working together on this project. thanks to amberly, justin's wife, whom volunteers for the cancer research foundation and was the initial contact who asked me to be a part of this this amazing project.

now to share the song the first time being played in public recorded at the cincinnati vineyard click on the title below:
